BANQUET RECORDS, JUST SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

In the last two weeks, I have bought Say Anything’s “…is a real boy” album for the 2nd time on vinyl, Say Anything’s new album “Anarchy, My Dear” on vinyl, and just then a re-press of Blink 182’s “Self-Titled”.

Almost bought Alkaline Trio’s “From Here To Infirmary” and Brand New’s “My Favourite Weapon”.

And then even more. Man I love vinyl.

New video cover filmed in Zaragoza, Spain. A cover of Say Anything’s Total Revenge. Enjoy.

SYB

While once my mouth was dry and bereft of more important words,
Now I’m loose tounged and careless, reckless with my opinion of the world,
And they say I’d sink shps with such cavalier analyses,
While currently wreck-less I’m afraid of these unforgiving seas.

Lyrics for “Saudade” from the EP “A Foolish Thought! A Sorry Sight!”

Word Of The Day: Maktub

Maktub

An arabic word meaning literally, “It is written”. Made popular by Paulo Coelho in his book The Alchemist, it’s concept is difficult to explain. While it takes on religious connotations in Arabic, at it’s core the idea is that everything which occurs is already mapped, planned. Everything which occurs, occurs for a reason and as a result you should live in the present, not the past or the future. Focus on the now.

It is closely linked to the concept of fate and karma, and it is a powerful concept indeed.

“Maktub,” she said. “If I am really part of your dream, you’ll come back one day.”
